holiday fun

The Sunshine Coast was very kind to us this year, delivering four gorgeous days out of seven. Not bad considering the beach was closed the week before we got there. And the rain started again the day after we left. So I am feeling quite lucky. The kids loved it, we hit the main beach in the morning, went back to the house for afternoon naps and then down to Noosa River for more beach plays and dinner in the evening. fun, fun
Noosa Heads is still as full on as always. Lots of white outfits, gold jewllery, wedge heels (for the beach) etc Bugaboo's are still the in pram. But not just any old bugaboo - forget black, red or navy and those multicouloured ones of 2007 are definatley OUT. The bugaboo of the moment must be camel coloured. Yes Noosa is full on, but the beautiful beach, yummy ice cream, and national park make up for all of the carry on that occurs on the street. Next time we are up there I want to visit the Noosa Everglades. Has anyone been there?

stitching for boys

I've been making alot of dresses and pretty things for Pia, so it was definately time to redress the balance and make something for Luca. But sewing for boys is not so simple, I wasn't exactly inundated with options while fabric shopping. I decided to make a cot quilt and chose this grey Japanese elephant print. If anyone has any sewing ideas for boys, I'd love to hear.
I found this funny photo on my mum's camera today. Now I know what they all get up to while I'm at work - dancing in Nana's lounge room. I know from the look on Luca's face that she is playing the Seekers. I better not tell Ed, he will freak out. I'll just tell him they were dancing to Husker Du or Radio Birdman - that will please him.

she's a party girl with a .. bad habit

Some bunting for my little BIG girl who is starting school in two weeks.

And here is a shot from my work party on monday night. Can you guess the theme? My posh spice inspired look was a very very lame attempt at dressing up. This party was quite outrageous I have to say. It was at our friend Tracy's pub The Fox in Collingwood. A really cool pub if you live over that way. 3 am is sooo far past my bed time and needless to say, I am still recovering.

Anyhoo, I know we are already half way through January, but here are a few of my plans for 2008: More movement - maybe Yoga, maybe pilates but certainly lots more walking. More fun - more child free nights. I will hopefully see a movie this year- as I didnt get to the cinema in 2007!!! Maybe a little bit of crafting - but only if I feel like it. There are a lot more things, but I wont bore you.
