i love goody bags

I havent been crafting very much lately, but after a visit to Aunty Cookie's last week I am totally inspired to start some serious sewing. After some cuddles with her two beautiful girls, she loaded me up with some fabric, japanese craft books and choc chip muffins and then sent me on my way. I LOVE this petticoat and stripey pants image, it is my inspiration for the next few weeks.
Meanwhile mother hen Pia is busy looking after her little babies - she is into attachment parenting at the moment (the baby and sling go everywhere with us). The sling is her own creation out of a bunny rug - so cute.

more ramblings about the kids

Here are just some of the stages we go through with Pia - all in a week! Today she was a skater girl, on the weekend she was a ballet princess. I had to get her ready for her dress rehearsal on Saturday and I knew there was an important instruction sheet lying around somewhere. If only I could find the goddam thing. When I eventually found it, to my horror I discovered that she needed to wear foundation, blush, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara and red lipstick. Wrong, wrong and er wrong. And this is why I cant show you her face on the blog. I have to admit though it was a bit of fun playing make up. I always wanted to be a make up artist, much to the horror of my parents. I actually did work experience in the make up department at the ABC. For some reason I got to meet Ian Turpey (still dont know why he was there) And in true public service style, we knocked off each day at about 1. Oh I was such an ambitious child....
PS - check out that front gate and fence - Ed made it!

brothers and sisters

Here are some photos of my family from the weekend. The only person missing is my gorgeous mummy. She made me laugh yesterday when she asked me if I would like to come to Madame Buttterfly with her in November. But not this November, she meant November 2008. Great Mum, I'll put that one in my diary - when the 2008 version comes out. Oh Bless her - she does the funniest things. Its not all smooth sailing though, I do get in trouble from her most wednesdays after she looks after the kids - because Pia is ahem disobedient. She is a free spirit what can I say.

I cant wait for Summer Heights High tonight, Ive been laughing so hard at the ads already. It is so easy to take the piss out of drama teachers isnt it.
